After Submission

Authors will receive a submission confirmation, an authorship contribution form, and a copyright/license agreement. Revisions must include a point-by-point response and a clean revised file.

Use of AI Tools in Manuscripts

AI systems (LLMs, chatbots, generative AI) cannot be listed as authors. Any use of AI-assisted tools during study design, data analysis, image processing, statistical modeling, manuscript drafting, language editing, or figure generation must be disclosed in the cover letter and in the Methods, Acknowledgments, or Figure Legends. The disclosure must include: name of the tool, version, developer, date accessed, and specific tasks performed. AI-generated text cannot be cited as a primary source.

Ethical Standards

JAICCT follows COPE, ICMJE, and EQUATOR guidelines. Human studies require Declaration of Helsinki compliance, IRB approval with approval number, and confirmed informed consent or IRB-approved waiver. Animal studies require IACUC approval. Studies involving vulnerable populations require enhanced IRB oversight and explicit documented consent.

Preprint Policy

Authors may post on preprint servers (arXiv, bioRxiv, medRxiv) before or during submission. Upon submission, include the statement: "This manuscript has been submitted to JAICCT for possible publication." After acceptance, update the preprint with the journal citation and a link to the final published version.

Submission Preparation Checklist
